DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY & CRITICAL CARE
Critical care (also known as Intensive Care) at Maxcure Hospitals is the multi-professional healthcare specialty that cares for patients with acute, life-threatening illness or injury. Most of us will experience a critical illness or injury, either as the patient, family member or friend of a patient.
Maxcure Hospitals critical care unit is well equipped with 20 beds. The CCU provides comprehensive, interdisciplinary patient care at the anesthesiology pain management center. It draws upon the expertise of our faculty as well as consultants from dentistry, psychiatry, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, rheumatology and physical medicine and other specialists. Our dedicated hospital facility includes specialized procedure rooms with state of the art monitoring, interview, and observation rooms.
Typical examples of critical illness include heart attack, poisoning, pneumonia, surgical complications, premature birth, and stroke. Critical care also includes trauma care- care of the severely injured- whether due to an automobile accident, gunshot or stabbing wounds, a fall or an industrial accident.
