Dr. Kumar Narayanan, MD, DM (Card), CEPS (USA) is an experienced Cardiologist/Electrophysiologist at Maxcure Hospitals. He has completed an ACGME accredited fellowship in clinical cardiac electrophysiology from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, USA, and is certified by the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE). He completed all his medical training from the renowned Christian Medical College, Vellore and was previously faculty at CMC. Along with clinical work, he also has keen research interests and is currently involved in research into mechanisms and risk stratification for sudden cardiac death (SCD) mainly focusing on clinical risk markers. He is also interested in primary prevention ICD utilization, epidemiology of atrial fibrillation and rheumatic heart disease research. He collaborates with the Paris Descartes University and European Georges Pompidou hospital, Paris on cardiac research, where he is visiting faculty scientist.
